CINCINNATI, Ohio - Behind a double-double from Hunter Penn and a season high 16 points from Daniel Mullins, Transy Men's Basketball swept the season series over Mount St. Joseph after defeating the Lions 64-60 in Cincinnati. The win keeps Transy at the top of the HCAC standings with Anderson at 14-4 overall and 9-2.

Three different Pioneers reached double-figures in scoring. Hunter Penn earned his third double-double of the season. He finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Daniel Mullins finished with a season high 16 points on 6-10 shooting. Jaylan Green continued his streak of scoring double-figures every game this season after scoring 12 tonight.

Transy struggled offensively in the first half, shooting just 27% (11-40 FG), but went into the half down just one possession. The Lions shot 55% in the first half but were just 10 of 18 and led 29-26. Transy capitalized on free throw opportunities and made one more three pointer than MSJ to keep the deficit short.

The Pioneers overcame the sluggish first half with a 50% shooting second half performance. Transy shot 15 of 30 from the floor while holding the Lions to 14 field goals to earn the four point win. Both games this season were decided by only 4 points.

Though the Pioneers struggled offensively, they excelled on rebounding. They had 39 rebounds, 19 being offensive to give Transy 16 second chance points. MSJ had just 8 second chance points.

Transy is now 13-6 all time versus MSJ. The win is Head Coach Brian Lane's 365th of his career.
