LEXINGTON - Transy Men's Basketball suffered their first loss in 9 games, losing 89-102 to Anderson University in the highest scoring game the Pioneers have been in this season.

The Pioneers shot 50% from three point range in the first half, making 8 while shooting 45% from the field in the first half to lead 47-40, but the Ravens got hot in the second half, shooting 20-26 from the field (76.92%) and 7-9 from three point range (77.8%) and 15-16 on free throws (93.75%) to give the Pioneers their first conference loss of the season.

Jaylan Green led Transy in points with 19, scoring 16 of those in the first half. Matthew Teague led the team in rebounds with 7, and had 15 points in the game. Colby Napier finished with 17. He scored 15 points from three point range.

Transylvania led by 6 points (73-67) with 8:56 left, but Anderson outscored Transy 31-16 the rest of the way to take the 13 point win.

The Pioneers' win streak was the longest since the 2010-2011 season. They move to 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the HCAC.
