ANDERSON, IN - Transylvania Men's Soccer defeated Anderson University in a road match up on Saturday, earning their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Regular Season TItle in eight years in the process. 
Gus Dickman scored first for the Pioneers courtesy of an assist from 
Nathan White in the opening minutes of the first half. Just over six minutes later, 
Stone Work scored on an assist from 
McKay Wheatley at the 13:02 mark. The Pioneers would remain aggressive in their offense, taking three additional shots in the first half, but those would not connect. Transylvania took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Less than three minutes into the second half, 
Stone Work scored another goal to extend the Pioneer lead, assisted by 
Cole Varela. 
Jackson Holt saved a shot attempt from Anderson's Ashton Kuss minutes later. At the 52:56 mark 
Stone Work would take another shot, and despite it not connecting, the Pioneers would find a way to score, as 
Nathan White scored seconds later on an assist from Varela. Transylvania would score their fifth and final goal at the 77:18 mark, as 
JT Roden scored on an assist from 
Sam Dodds. 
Jackson Holt defended the goal for the entirety of the 90:00 for Transylvania, recording three saves in the win. The 5-0 victory gave the Pioneers their first HCAC Regular Season Title in eight years. 
"I'm really proud of our guys, they've worked hard for a few years now and it's starting to pay off," said Head Coach Ben Federici. "I think I can speak for the whole team, we know the job isn't finished."
Transylvania (12-2-2) returns to Pat Deacon Stadium for their regular season finale on Wednesday, October 29th to host an HCAC match up with Franklin College.
