Transylvania Falls To Wilmington In Hard Fought Matchup

LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania battled Wilmington in a hard fought matchup, falling short 3-1. 

Wilmington scored in the opening minutes of the first half, as Jordan Domoe scored at the 1:41 mark. Gus Dickman found an opportunity for a shot minutes later, but was unable to connect. Nick Haskins attempted a shot at the goal at the 25:49 mark, but was also unable to score. The Pioneers continued to apply pressure, control the tempo and find opportunities, but took a 1-0 deficit into the half. 

In the second half, Eli Eyrich scored for Wilmington as the Pioneers fell into a two goal deficit. The Pioneers responded minutes later, as Gus Dickman, assisted by Haskins, connected for a Transylvania goal. Wilmington would respond with a goal from Kaden Young to push the lead to 3-1, just minutes later. Wilmington would hold on for a 3-1 victory. 

Transylvania returns to action at Pat Deacon Stadium on Saturday, September 13th, hosting Capital at 2:00 p.m.
