Betty Lou Duff Evans was involved in many campus groups -Lampas, student council, Chi Omega sorority, band, andchoir.

She also played every intramural and intercollegiate sportoffered for women. That experience spurred her to create women'sbasketball and golf programs when she returned to teach high schoolin her hometown of Mount Sterling, Ky.

"My participation at Transy showed me the value of women'ssports and made me enthusiastic about returning to my hometown tostart programs and give those girls the same kind of opportunitiesI had," Evans said.
