Heather Adams was a versatile student-athlete at Transylvania who excelled in every facet of the game. Regarded as a pure leader with a team-oriented style, Adams was a four-year letterwinner for the Pioneers women’s basketball team from 1991-1995 and played two years for Transylvania’s softball program.

Adams was a point guard for the Pioneers, playing in 91 career games and amassing 808 points, 180 assists, and 292 rebounds for her career. Adams's numbers and wins only tell part of her story; while at Transylvania, Adams had an active role in cultivating a new major in Human Movement Science, and was involved in a plethora of campus activities and leadership activities away from the field and court.

Adams served as the team captain for the Pioneers women’s basketball team in her senior year, and graduated with honors. Her time at Transylvania is espoused by many of her teammates and coaches as the epitome of a true student-athlete.
